My Husband held a financial empowerment seminar in a quaint little town outside of St. Louis and I couldn't resist snapping it up against this brick wall!
I found this cute top at Shein. I love the stripes and appliqued roses. The shirt wraps around and ties in the front. I also snagged the high-waist black bottoms from Shein. They definitely add a bit of sass to your strut! The heels are an old favorite from Jessica Simpson's collection. The 3-leaf rose gold earrings are from H&M, and as always, face is beat by moi! I'm forever learning and perfecting my craft <3.

Don't you just love fall in TX? *sarcasm at its finest* Born & raised in Detroit, MI, I'm used to the leaves changing colors, crisp air throughout the day, and the smell of wood burning in the fireplace. I'm trying my best to rock the fall look with this weather still feeling like summer. The plaid and neutral colors scream, "Fall's here!" While the sandals and slits in the pants say, "It's still a little warm out." I snagged the Ralph Lauren plaid on sale for $15 at the PX (Post Exchange). Purse is an old consignment find: Kate Spade.

Baby Gianni is here! He came at 38 weeks and it's been nothing short of amazing bonding with him in the flesh as compared to while he was balled up in my womb! I'm so fortunate to have been able to get maternity shots prior to Jr's arrival. I kind of cut it close. So many expecting mothers look forward to a few things upon discovery of carrying life: the baby shower, the maternity pictures, and of course actually seeing baby for the first time!
I opted for a double maternity shoot deal: a milk bath session for myself and an outdoor session with my Husband. You would need to discuss pricing and details with your photographer if you plan on taking that route. When looking for cute maternity clothes, keep some of these questions in mind, and it should help steer you in the right direction to the perfect maternity dress selection.
I hope these tips help with narrowing down that perfect maternity dress for you! Stop by PinkBlush Maternity to find a few different options that will possibly compliment you and your belly! All photography is captured by the infamous, Michelle of Neva Michelle Photography.
I'm so excited (and a bit nervous) to present to you my very first makeup tutorial! You guys have been asking me to do this for a while now, and I've procrastinated long enough. I hope everyone had a safe and merry Christmas! The holidays are over, but winter will still be lurking around for a while. Who doesn't want a great lippie to wrap up the season before it's time pull out our spring gear? Well, here's a look book I finally put together of my favorite lipsticks this winter.
Be sure to give my video a "thumbs up", and comment with your personal favorite winter lipsticks! If you're not on board, subscribe to my channel on YouTube!
Happy Hump day, loves! We're almost to the end of the week. I pray you stay strong and safe so you all can enjoy the weekend! Last Sunday, my Husband (he's the real MVP) took me to a casting call he discovered in Austin, TX. It's about an hour from where we live in Killeen (Central TX). It was hosted by Naturally Curly as they were looking for models, with hair of ALL textures, to be featured on their upcoming projects! How exciting! Of course I was naturally anxious, but everything turned out nice! Some of you all saw us live as we broadcasted from Periscope: thanks for the support!
A lot of you all asked about my outfit. Here are the details:

One checked bag is the goal! Southwest flys up to two checked bags under 50 lb. for free! Pack outfits that will all go with one pair of shoes. This doesn't include your "stepping out" heels. All of my fits were worn with the same hat, purse, and booties: with the exemption of the birthday dinner (I had to get dolled up for that)!
You CAN be fashionably fly (pun intended) & comfortable at the airport with one checked bag and no carry-on! Touching down at your destination, you want to be able to go right out on the town: grab a bite, site-see, or shop around. So everyone knows just like the hospital and movie theater, the airport is freezing cold! That automatically calls for something with long sleeves or a sweater. Being slightly anemic, I opted for a crew neck AND cardigan. I paired that with jeans, booties, and a hat to make it fun.

For the birthday girl, we had a full spa day! All three of us shared one room as we enjoyed a deep tissue and hot stone massage, we toasted to another year as we waited for facials, and then finished off with a pedicure and manicure. This salon/spa was by far the most professional I've been to! The weather was beautiful! It was the perfect combination of sunlight and brisk wind. The dress I wore was thick and comfortable, paired with a droopy turtleneck, booties, and there goes that hat again!

The dinner was at a restaurant named STK. Very sophisticated with great food! The birthday girl wanted us in all white, while she stood out in red! She was HOT!

For brunch the following day, we enjoyed food at The Rustic Tavern. Afterwards, enjoyed a full day of sight-seeing with a bike ride around DC as we visited most of the historical monuments. FAQ: Can you ride a bike in those booties? Yes! My favorite part of the day was dinner-time: my friends enjoyed an Ethiopian meal at DAS and loved it! I was so proud of them for trying something new.

Enjoy a little retail therapy before heading back home. You'll essentially end up with a carry-on because you came with one checked bag!
The last day always sucks, as you have to say goodbye to your friends. We ate breakfast at the infamous Lincoln's Waffle Shop. The food was delicious. Of course we had the itis afterwards so we stopped by Zara before heading home for a movie & nap, then off to the airport. Everything I bought went into a carry-on bag.

To kick off “Beauty & Fashion”, I’ll begin with fulfilling a bunch requests I’ve received on how I arch and shape my eyebrows. It’s flattering, I admit, but I literally just use an eyebrow pencil, brush, scissors, and tweezers. No shade to the ladies that use pomade or put on concealer to highlight all around the brow. That ‘s just not the way I do mine: to each its own. I’m basic when it comes to this. I love a natural looking brow, so here’s what I do:
- I use the tweezers to clean up the stubble hair around my brow.
- I brush my brows in an upward motion and cut off the longer hairs, making it even with my brow line. Brush them down and repeat.
- I use my eyebrow pencil to follow the shape of my brow. (Don’t be so heavy handed at the front. It’s all about blending and looking REALISTIC! You do NOT have to draw a block at the front, just softly fill in.)
- I go back and apply a light concealer underneath the brow; just to make it pop, but it’s not necessary.
As is stated before, very basic and simple. Watch the video below and feel free to share!
