Gianni's Denim Nursery Tour

11/17/2016

My little pumpkin is 2 months already! I'm just getting around to sharing his denim themed nursery with you all. Sorry it took so long. I suppose I'm just getting the hang of this new thing called "Mommy-hood". I have the video of his tour up on my YouTube channel, but here is where I'll give the details of everything in his nursery.

My Mom-in-Love painted the room back in August when I had my baby shower. The color is Ralph Lauren's Indigo Denim. There's a light blue base coat that goes on the wall first. Once it's dry, the dark blue goes on and there's a special brush used to give it that "denim look."

The changing station is a dresser Gianni's G-Ma Elizabeth put all of her love into refurbishing. She even had this beauty shipped from FL to TX! She also sent the  picture frame and iron rack as well. She gave me the white crowned elephant about a year before I was expecting, and told me it was for her grand baby. Both the white and chevron picture frame came from G-Ma Elizabeth. I purchased the changing pad, changing pad cover, and dark blue containers at Target.

I purchased the blue and white, chevron rocking chair from Wayfair. My coworkers threw me a baby shower, and this elephant came off of the diaper cake (displayed on top of the wire rack). G-Ma Elizabeth sent the white blanket and curtains. They were purchased from IKEA.  The wooden chest, also from G-Ma Elizabeth, holds all of Gianni's blankets that friends and family either made or personalized just for him. The jute area rug is (you guessed it) from G-Ma Elizabeth. I absolutely LOVE her!

I purchased the ladder-inspired bookshelf from Wayfair, and the elephant lamp from Target. These books were given to me at the baby shower my coworkers threw. The theme was "Once Upon A Time". Everyone brought books and signed them for Gianni. These are Gianni Sr's first pair of Jordans. I thought it'd be cute on display. My sorority sister sent the picture frame as a gift. Can you guess which sorority? ; )

G-Ma Elizabeth purchased the crib from Wayfair. I got the elephant sheet set from Amazon for $80. It came with the fitted sheet, skirt, bumpers, mobile, blanket (inside crib), and 3 elephant drawings that hang on the wall. I didn't put them up because it would have been "elephant overkill". G-Ma Elizabeth sent this stylish denim and leather hamper. His name was a quick and easy (ok, maybe just easy) DIY project. I took old jeans, cut them up, and hot-glued them to cardboard letters. I was planning on painting the edges white, but never got around to doing that. Either way, it came out super cute!

This is my attempt at keeping Gianni's clothes and things organized. The storage boxes were purchased from Target. Overall, this is my favorite room in the whole house. I shared my Pinterest board of nurseries with my Mom-in-Love. She really went above and beyond to bring my vision of rustic, denim, and white to life! Tell me, what's YOUR favorite part of this room? If you'd like to see everything in a video version, check out my YouTube channel.
